First Look at Apple’s Mixed-Reality Headset Reality Pro Ahead of WWDC Debut

Apple is widely expected to unveil its first mixed-reality headset, the “Reality Pro,” at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which usually takes place in June. Prior to this, a series of pictures purportedly showing the components of the device were posted on Twitter. This could be our first glimpse of a real-life feature of Apple's mixed-reality headset, if it is authentic.

The first-generation mixed-reality headset is expected to be unveiled in June at Apple's WWDC, followed by a launch sometime later in the year. Apple’s long-rumored Reality Pro headset is set to be unveiled as soon as WWDC in June, and with the images recently leaked online, it seems we now have the first look at the hardware.

The Reality Pro is expected to be very expensive, with a price tag of around $3,000.[0] This technology will be of the highest quality, consisting of dual 4K OLED displays and advanced eye- and hand-tracking sensors.[1] It is thought that the device is quite bulky and has a short battery life, being able to operate for about two hours with a supplemental battery pack.[1]

The photos shared on Twitter by Mr. White show various components of the headset, such as ribbon cables that contour around a user's eyes, and an array of cameras or sensors for facial or environmental expression recognition.[2]

Overall, the Reality Pro headset promises to deliver a high-end augmented and virtual reality experience to the user, powered by a MacBook-grade M-series chip and featuring dozens of cameras and eye- and hand-tracking technologies. It's unclear when the headset will be officially announced, but reports suggest it could be as soon as WWDC in June. Until then, we'll just have to wait and see what other details and images emerge.
