Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and A34 5G Launch on March 16 with Flagship Features and Affordable Price

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G are the latest mid-range smartphones from the South Korean tech giant.^[0] Launching on March 16, the phones bring a lot of flagship features to an accessible price point. Both devices have a 6.4” Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.^[1] The Galaxy A54 is powered by the 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset and comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy A34 features the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080, 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of expandable storage.

Camera-wise, the Galaxy A54 has a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro snapper. For selfies, there’s a 32MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.^[2] The Galaxy A34, meanwhile, has a 48MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro shooter. For selfies, there’s a 32MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.^[2] Both phones ship with Android 13 based One UI 5.1 out of the box and are guaranteed to get four years of Android OS support and five years of security software support.^[3]

The Galaxy A54 5G comes in four colors: Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet and Awesome White. The Galaxy A34 5G comes in four hues: Graphite, Lime, Silver, and Violet. Prices start at £349 for the Galaxy A34 and £449 for the Galaxy A54.^[4] There’s currently a promotion in which customers who pre-order the Galaxy A54 between March 30 and April 6 will also get a free pair of Galaxy Buds2 worth £139.^[5]
