Google Pixel 7a: Specs, Photos and Pricing Revealed

Google's upcoming mid-range offering, the Pixel 7a, is expected to be unveiled during the Google I/O event in May. A new leak courtesy of Debayan Roy has revealed some detailed specs of the device, as well as some photos of the device. It appears that the Pixel 7a will come with a 6.1-inch 1080p OLED display, with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by the Tensor G2 processor from Google, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.[0]

In terms of imaging, the device could come equipped with a dual camera setup consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX787 main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide unit.[1] Notably, previous leaks had suggested a 64MP main camera, but the resolution of the ultra-wide camera was estimated to be 13MP.[2] Also, the device could support 5W wireless charging.[3]

The Pixel 7a is also likely to be the first handset from the A-series to feature a high refresh rate panel. The phone may have a 6.1-inch FHD+ panel with a potential 90Hz refresh rate, similar to the Pixel 7. Moreover, the device is expected to ship with Android 13 out-of-the-box, but will be among the first devices to get an Android 14 update.[4]

The Pixel 7a is estimated to cost around Rs 40,000 upon launch in India, making the Pixel 6a even more affordable. Given the specs, the Pixel 7a looks like a great all-rounder device. We'll have to wait for the official announcement to know more about the device, but for now, it looks like Google will be bringing a powerful mid-range offering to the market.
